Budget Beaches

Those needing a vacation that does not suck up a lot of extra cash are not alone. Many Americans struggle just to make ends meet, let alone manage to save up enough for an all out, spare-no-expense vacation. The following highlights some of the best spots on the East Coast that are perfect for the Spring Breaker who does not have a lot of money to invest or the family trying to get away without blowing their entire budget.

Florida

Florida is a prime place for Spring Break action and that means lots of college kids. The stereotype is that college kids do not have a lot of money on hand as they spend most of their funds paying for school and books, but when spring break rolls around, many kids scrape together what they can, bunk up with as many as 10 people in a single room, and party hard on some of Florida’s most popular beaches. These college kids know a thing or two about saving money while on vacation and the avid traveler should take a page out of their playbook and explore some of Florida’s beaches for cheap vacation options.

Duval Street is a popular hangout of Key West and it is home to many of Key West’s best bars and restaurants. Coral reefs are also native to the Key West area making for great, and inexpensive, snorkeling.

Daytona Beach, Florida

This area is known as a Spring Break hotspot and has many bars and nightclubs that cater to the traveler on a budget. Daytona Beach is also the sight of the annual Daytona Beach Bike Week which sees hundreds of bikers ride into town to party hard and show off there sleek rides.

Panama City, Florida
